Level 2 Electrical

What is a Level 2 Electrician?

Not all electricians are qualified to the same standard. ASP Level 2 electricians are licensed to carry out installation, repair and maintenance work on overhead and underground power cables that connect residential, commercial and industrial properties and the electrical supply network.

 

All of our Level 2 electricians in Newcastle, Maitland and the Hunter Valley are authorised by the Electrical Network to undertake installation work on metering equipment, provide power supply to overhead and underground service mains, disconnect and reconnect power supplies and conduct all necessary live work and testing.

Metering System Installations

Real Electrical Solutions’ Level 2 electricians are licensed to install and repair all service main cabling and connections for both single-phase and three-phase installations.
 

We provide smart and solar meters for all of Australia’s major retailers such as Energy Australia, Origin Energy, Red Energy, AGL and Ausgrid.
 

Overhead and Underground Connections

As Level 2 electricians, our team has the authority to work with overhead street cables and underground electrical cables. All of the Level 2 electricians at Real Electrical Solutions go through extensive training to maintain their qualifications.

 

Overhead and underground services include the connection of service lines to the supply system, relocating or upgrading service lines, installing and connecting underground lines to the overhead power supply and replacing any service fuses, actives and neutral links.
 

Private Pole Maintenance

It is your responsibility to maintain all electrical equipment on your property including private power lines or private power poles. It’s recommended that you have your private poles inspected by a licensed electrical contractor at least every five years. The training our Level 2 electricians receive is targeted towards working with the electricity grid and all of our team are certified and authorised to carry out the necessary maintenance and repair work on all types of power poles in Australia.
